Closing the Achievement Gap

Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – Clinton School professor of education policy Keith Nitta made his television debut Friday on KARK Channel 4 where he discussed a report he coauthored on closing the educational achievement gap in Arkansas. Nitta and Jay Barth of Hendrix College found that Arkansas has made great strides in improving education quality but more can be done to close the gap among racial and socioeconomic groups. The study was released by Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, the Arkansas Public Policy Panel, Hendrix College and the Clinton School. Click here for the online video from KARK and here for more about the study.
