Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Ellen Fitzpatrick

Dr. Ellen Fitzpatrick, associate professor and director of international programs joined the Clinton School in January.

Since that time, she has worked on strengthening the International Public Service Project and developing collaborations with international partners. Previously, Fitzpatrick was director of the Latin American Studies program and associate professor in the Department of Economics at the State University of New York in Plattsburgh.

She is currently working on a paper examining the role of foreign organizations in the food security strategies of southern Africa titled “Development or Dependency, the 21st Century Green Revolution on Southern Africa” and is developing a paper critiquing several models for preparing and implementing fieldwork for undergraduates.

In the fall, Fitzpatrick will launch a program that will bring Fulbright Scholars who are visiting America to the Clinton School to meet with students and faculty and participate in the lecture series.
