Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – The Clinton School Class of 2010 was hosted at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion Thursday by First Lady Ginger Beebe where they made paper “Flat Stanleys” to take on their summer International Public Service Projects.
By now, Clinton School Blog readers know Flat Stanley, the popular children’s book character who Mrs. Beebe sends abroad with the students so that he can learn about different cultures before coming back to share his experiences with Arkansas school children.
The Clinton School students will travel to a number of countries this summer to complete public service projects related to fighting poverty, expanding health care, promoting education and protecting the environment.
For the third consecutive year, the Clinton School is proud to partner with Mrs. Beebe to promote reading and cultural awareness for Arkansas school children. We’ll have updates on Flat Stanley’s travels with the Clinton School students throughout the summer.
