Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – Former U.S. Ambassador to Thailand David Lambertson spoke Thursday at the Clinton School about U.S./East Asian affairs. After being introduced by Clinton School student Tina Tian, a native of Harbin, China, Lamberston gave his views on the government and economic situation facing the region. Throughout his more than 30-year Foreign Service career, Lamberston served in numerous diplomatic positions related to Asian affairs, including as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State with responsibility for Southeast Asia. Since his retirement in 1995, Lambertson has been an adjunct professor at the University of Kansas, and in 2002 was the Freeman Foundation visiting professor of Asian Affairs at Claremont-McKenna College in California.
