Giving at Graduation Partners with Arkansas Foodbank

The Clinton School of Public Service will collect items of need for Arkansas Foodbank as part Giving at Graduation for the Class of 2025. This year’s collection will continue the school’s tradition of Giving at Graduation, which has been a part of the school’s commencement ceremony since 2010.

Arkansas Foodbank stands as the largest hunger relief organization in the state, serving 33 counties across the state’s central, eastern, and southern regions.

As a proud member of Feeding America and the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, the Foodbank has been at the forefront of combating hunger with innovative programs that provide healthy and nutritious food to those in need.

Its cornerstone initiatives, including Food For Kids, Food For Families, and Food For Seniors, enable the distribution of essential resources through a network of more than 400 food pantries, schools, colleges, shelters, senior centers, and other agencies across Arkansas.

Arkansas Foodbank is seeking the following items for donation:

  • Canned Meats, Vegetables, Fruits, and Soup
    • Low sodium/low sugar options preferred
  • Meal Entrees
    • Hamburger Helper, pasta skillet meals, canned pasta meals, rice, and dry beans
      • Whole grain options preferred
  • Breakfast Items
    • Cereal, granola bars, instant oatmeal, toaster pastries, and peanut butter
      •   Low sugar/whole grain options preferred
  • 100% juices, juice boxes, and water

Please note that certain foods are not allowed by the Health Department in food drives, including perishable foods, glass jars and bottles, homemade items, alcohol, expired food, baby food, opened jars or containers, non-canned seafood, and dog food.

How to Give

Donations will be accepted at Sturgis Hall beginning now through the Class of 2025’s Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 10.

Items may also be donated at the school’s Graduate Awards Reception on the evening of Friday, May 9 at Sturgis Hall.
