Giving at Graduation Partners with City Year Little Rock

The Clinton School of Public Service will collect items of need for City Year Little Rock as part Giving at Graduation for the Class of 2024.

City Year Little Rock is seeking non-perishable food items such as canned meats, canned vegetables, rice, beans, box meals, cereal, oatmeal, and pasta for donation.

City Year Little Rock is dedicated to training and deploying passionate AmeriCorps members to make a difference in the lives of students across Little Rock and Jacksonville Schools.

Despite the modest living allowance provided as part of this government-funded service year, City Year members persevere with unwavering dedication. Their commitment to service transcends financial considerations, driven by a deep sense of purpose and a desire to effect positive change in their communities.

Recognizing the challenges its AmeriCorps members may face, City Year has established a food pantry to provide essential support throughout their members’ national service journey.

This initiative ensures that members can focus wholeheartedly on their mission without worrying about basic needs, empowering them to make a lasting impact on the lives of the students they serve.

How to Give

Donations will be accepted at Sturgis Hall (1200 President Clinton Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72201) beginning now through the Class of 2024’s Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 4.

Items may also be donated at the school’s Graduate Awards Reception on the evening of Friday, May 3 at Sturgis Hall.

This year’s collection will continue the school’s tradition of Giving at Graduation, which has been a part of the school’s commencement ceremony since 2010.
