Grad Bags Job at Southern Bancorp

Clinton School graduate Ben Kaufman (’11) has been hired as social metrics manager at Southern Bancorp, a rural development bank serving the Mississippi River Delta region.

Kaufman will be responsible for evaluating Southern Bancorp’s performance around its goals of reducing poverty, improving economic opportunity and increasing educational attainment in the communities where it serves.

Southern was founded in 1986 under the leadership of then Governor Bill Clinton and the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation to create investment and development in rural Arkansas. Founding directors included Hillary Clinton, Mack McLarty and Rob Walton.
