Grad Joins City Year Milwaukee

Clinton School grad Jay Thompson (’08) has been named assistant director of City Year Milwaukee after spending the last year helping launch the new City Year London in England. City Year is a branch of AmeriCorps that gives young people a chance to dedicate a year to public service.

Thompson has a long history with City Year, having worked for the service organization’s national office before entering the Clinton School in 2007.

During his Clinton School tenure, Thompson worked with an organization that is lobbying Congress to create the first U.S. Public Service Academy, which would provide a military-style branch for public servants.

Congrats to Thompson on his new job.
