Grad Named Health Policy Director for AR Advocates

Clinton School grad Anna Strong (’11) has been named health policy director at Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, a nonprofit child advocacy organization.

A graduate of the concurrent MPS/MPH degree program with the UAMS Boozman College of Public Health, Strong worked with AACF to improve a school-based health initiative for her final Clinton School Capstone project.

Strong currently works as a senior policy analyst at the UAMS Center for Rural Health, and she recently authored the latest edition of “Natural Wonders: The State of Children’s Health in Arkansas,” a joint effort of AACF, UAMS, Arkansas Children’s Hospital and other organizations.

Strong is a native of Searcy, Ark., and a graduate of Hendrix College. She completed her Clinton School international project in Jamkhed, India, where she worked with an organization focused on improving access to healthcare and freedom from poverty, hunger and violence.
