Clinton School graduate Jonathan Dunkley has been invited to return to Belize City, Belize, where he completed his Clinton School international service project, to conduct a youth development project focused on financial literacy and environmental sustainability.
For a week in July, Dunkley will partner with Peacework, the Belizean Ministry of Education and PricewaterhouseCoopers to host youth financial literacy camps, lead a scholars mentoring program, provide financial and technology training to teachers and build playgrounds using re-purposed materials.
The project will involve 10 schools with the opportunity to engage more than 1,200 students and their teachers, Dunkley said. The effort will be a continuation of Dunkley’s international project in 2009 when he partnered with the Ministry of Education to develop summer camps and renovate a basketball court in Belize City.
