Greg Steinsiek has been named director of communications at the Clinton School, the nation’s first to offer a Master of Public Service (MPS) degree.
Steinsiek succeeds Ben Beaumont who has moved to a full-time position with the University of Arkansas System. Previously, Beaumont had worked for both the UA System and the Clinton School.
Steinsiek is an Arkansas native. After graduating from Sylvan Hills High School, he went on to study at the University of Arkansas and graduated with a degree in philosophy and sociology from the University of Central Arkansas.
Before joining the Clinton School, Steinsiek worked with the Climate Reality Project, an environmental non-profit based in Washington D.C. While at the Climate Reality Project he wrote new media content, conducted research and published blog posts about issues surrounding climate change, food shortages and sea-level rise. He also has been active in various political campaigns and initiatives.
“We’re excited to welcome Greg to the Clinton School,” said Dean Skip Rutherford. “In addition to traditional communications, his experience with and his interest in new media and technology will help position the Clinton School in the future.
