Hellthaler Named National Program Manager for Prison Yoga Project

Clinton School graduate Nicole Hellthaler (’19) has accepted a full-time position with Prison Yoga Project.

Prison Yoga Project supports incarcerated people with trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness practices to promote rehabilitation, reduce recidivism, and improve public safety. The organization includes five U.S. chapters and three international chapters.

“As the National Program Manager for the Prison Yoga Project, I oversee the development and sustainability of Chapters and Programs, as well as design and implement monitoring and evaluation tools to collect program data,” Hellthaler said.

Prison Yoga Project offers training programs and accepts donations to give incarcerated individuals copies of the book “Yoga: A Path for Healing and Recovery.”

Hellthaler partnered with Prison Yoga Project on her Clinton School Capstone project, which provided the organization with a set of tools for program measurement and evaluation.
