How to Grow a Nonprofit

Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – Nonprofit experts Deborah Jospin and Shirley Sagawa, authors of “The Charismatic Organization: 8 Ways to Grow a Nonprofit That Builds Buzz, Delights Donors and Energizes Employees,” gave a Clinton School lecture Monday to a large crowd of local nonprofit administrators, board members and staff. Jospin and Sagawa discussed their book and ways for nonprofits to navigate the troubled economy. They were introduced by Clinton School student Ali Turro, a former Teach for America participant. Jospin is the former director of AmeriCorp and Sagawa is a longtime children’s policy expert and advocate. They are cofounders of sagawa/jospin, a consulting group that provides foundations and nonprofit organizations with expertise in strategic planning, board development, public policy and program design, business partnership development, coalition building and social entrepreneurship.
