Clinton School student Patrick Banks (’11) recently sent us this photo from his travels in Kenya where he is performing a needs assessment of science resources and skill levels at several Western Kenyan schools to help design a science curriculum that is better-aligned to country and international science standards.
The children in the photo are posing with Flat Stanley, the popular children’s book character who is traveling with Clinton School students this summer. The students are documenting Flat Stanley’s travels in partnership with Arkansas First Lady Ginger Beebe, who will use the photos in her efforts to promote literacy and cultural awareness in Arkansas elementary schools.
