Kickball Champs

Posted by student CHAD WILLIAMSON – The inaugural Clinton School Kickball Team has officially ended its undefeated run as the conference champions of the 2009 spring season. What started in September has ended in May with an S.O.B. (Students of Bill) record of 21-0. We played a doubleheader in the rain and mud in what turned out to be a great finale. After winning the first game in the bottom of the sixth (4-3), the S.O.B. mojo continued into the next game as we won 26-3.

The story behind all this sports stuff is the fact that great relationships were formed and great experiences were had by all. Thanks to Dean Skip Rutherford and Mr. Bob Gee for being our biggest and most loyal fans, along with our mascots, Moxie and Bristol.  In some way, shape or form, the S.O.B.’s will continue in the fall of 2009. As the official sport of the Clinton School, pressure is on the Class of 2011 to field a team. You could possibly see a scrimmage or tryout at the welcoming BBQ in August…stay tuned!  It started with a group that didn’t know anything about one another and ended with friendships and memories forever.  Can’t stop, won’t stop…1-2-3…S.O.B.’s!
