Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – Actor and author John Lithgow, along with Arkansas First Lady Ginger Beebe, visited 7th Street Elementary School in North Little Rock this morning to read to students there. Introduced by Mrs. Beebe, Lithgow read (and sang) three of his seven children’s books – Mahalia Mouse Goes to College, Marsupial Sue and I’m a Manatee. A crowd of more than 40 students listened attentively and sang along with Lithgow throughout. Lithgow’s visit to the school was organized by the Clinton School and City Year. He will speak tonight at a public Clinton School lecture at the Statehouse Convention Center. Here are some photos from the visit:
