Lunch with a Senator

The new Clinton School students enjoyed a lunch discussion today with Arkansas Senator Blanch Lincoln. Senator Lincoln stopped by to visit with the students about public service, politics and her work in the U.S. Senate.

Lincoln discussed her career in politics, from her first campaign for Congress as a young, single mother, to her recent primary victory.

The first woman and first Arkansan to chair the Senate Agriculture Committee, Lincoln discussed her work on agriculture policy, energy legislation and financial reform.

The students asked questions related to the economy, agriculture and health care, among other topics.
