Mitchell Scholar Honored

Clinton School student Ivanley Noisette (’11) was honored Thursday night for being named one of this year’s 12 Mitchell Scholars. Clinton School students, faculty, staff, volunteers and community supporters gathered at a reception in Noisette’s honor at Sturgis Hall.

Named to honor former U.S. Senator George Mitchell’s pivotal contribution to the Northern Ireland peace process, the Mitchell Scholarship Program is designed to introduce and connect generations of future American leaders to the island of Ireland, while recognizing and fostering intellectual achievement, leadership, and a commitment to public service and community.

Noisette will spend a year in Ireland studying human rights law and transitional justice at the University of Ulster.
