More Good News

Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – The good news just keeps coming on the job front. Clinton School student Sara Himelfarb (’09) will be the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction at a new charter school serving the Little Rock community, set to open in 2009. The Little Rock Preparatory Academy (www.littlerockprep.org) was founded through a Building Excellent Schools Fellowship and sets high academic and behavioral expectations for all students.

Utilizing a “No Excuses” philosophy, the school will open with an initial class of 108 fifth graders and will expand one grade per year up to eighth grade. Sara will be in charge of developing the academic program, providing professional development for teachers, and coordinating the Special Education program. Little Rock Preparatory Academy will be hiring a staff of teachers in all subjects, and interested candidates should email their resume and cover letter to careers@littlerockprep.org.
