Nonprofit CEO Talks Social Enterprise

Indego Africa CEO Ben Stone spoke at the Clinton School last week about the efforts of his nonprofit to promote the work of women artisans in Rwanda.

Indego Africa promotes social enterprise and fair trade by selling the hand-made products of cooperatives of women in Rwanda online and through partnerships with more than 70 U.S. retailers.

Stone blogged about his Clinton School speech and posted a video on his Web site. Below is an excerpt. Click here for the full post.

On Feb. 2, 2012, I was honored to deliver a speech entitled “The Rise of Social Enterprise: Opportunities and Challenges” at President Clinton’s School of Public Service at the University of Arkansas. I covered a lot of ground, including an in-depth discussion about Indego Africa and my thoughts on social enterprise.
