Clinton School class 2 student Christina Corodimas updated us recently on her work with Not In Our Town, a national movement that encourages and connects people to respond to hate and work to build more inclusive communities. Not In Our Town uses media, grassroots events, educational outreach and online activities to help communities talk to and learn from each other.
On April 6, the Not In Our Town project will launch NIOT.org, a social networking site for people fighting hate and working to create safe, inclusive communities and schools where everyone is respected. NIOT.org will connect people everywhere to network and share local stories of success and inspire others to fight hate in their communities, Corodimas says.
Visit NIOT.org on April 6 to participate. In the meantime, learn more on the groups preview site.
