Pakistani Ambassador to Speak

Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – Pakistan’s ambassador the the United States, Husain Haqqani, will speak at the Clinton School on Wednesday, July 29 at noon. A former leading journalist in Pakistan, Ambassador Haqqani has served in numerous positions in Pakistani government and politics, including as spokesman for past Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto.

Named ambassador to the United States by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani in April 2008, Haqqani is an associate professor for international relations at Boston University, as well as a co-chair of the Project on Islam and Democracy at the Hudson Institute in Washington, D.C.
