The Clinton School Center on Community Philanthropy has released its Fall 2011 newsletter, “The Philanthropy Circular.”
The newsletter recaps the center’s first summit, titled “Pathways to Racial Healing and Equity in the South: A Community Philanthropy Strategy.” Hosted last spring, the summit brought together more than 120 stakeholders to discuss race and equity in society.
The newsletter also highlights a project completed last year by a team of Clinton School students in Helena-West Helena, Ark. For their 2010-11 Practicum project Kate Cawvey, Derrick Rainey, Hilary Trudell and Ryan Williams led an effort to engage the campus community at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas in a conversation on race and equity.
