Madhav Shroff (’19) has joined Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. as a litigation associate.
In his new role, Shroff will draft motions and briefs in the defense of tort actions, propound discovery requests and draft corresponding responses to advance the interests of clients, research complex legal issues that arise during litigation, and assist in litigation regarding matters relating to medical malpractice, product liability, and insurance defense.
In addition to his Master of Public Service, Shroff earned a concurrent juris doctor at the UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. He completed a clerkship at Mitchell Williams in the fall of 2017.
“Mitchell Williams, I think, sets itself apart from other law firms in Arkansas because of their commitment to public service and diversity,” Shroff said. “The firm believes strongly in giving back to charitable organizations in the communities where they live and work. Additionally, the firm supports public service interests that I care about. The firm not only has bought tables for the event, but Mitchell Williams attorneys Amanda Denton and Nate Coulter have joined the Red Jacket Ball Committee and have donated their time to support City Year’s mission to provide quality education to Little Rock students.”
As a Clinton School student, Shroff worked with The Asia Foundation’s Justice and Gender team and contributed to program development, program implementation, and documentation on commercial mediation. He and a team of first-year students worked on an expansion study for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas, which helped lead to the creation of the organization’s Family Room at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Shroff graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences before earning his master’s degree in biomedical sciences at UAMS.
Shroff is a member of the City Year Red Jacket Ball Committee and the AmeriCorps Alums Little Rock Chapter. He is a graduate of the Junior League’s Nonprofit Board Institute.
