Student Profiled in Hometown Paper

Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – Clinton School student and Marion, Ohio, native Lindsey Clark, a frequent contributor to this blog, was profiled Saturday in her hometown newspaper, The Marion Star. The paper interviewed Lindsey as her former high school preps for a campaign visit from former President Bill Clinton, our school’s namesake. Ohio is the center of attention heading into the March 4 Democratic Primary. Below an exerpt from the article. Click here to read the full text.

Clark is the only Ohioan in the school which numbers about 50 students maximum. She said there are 30 students in this class and 22 in the prior class at the 3-year-old school and the only school in the nation to offer a degree in public service.

The Clinton School seeks students to build on their own unique assets, incorporating new skills and an awareness that can prepare them for leadership in public service, according to the school’s Web site.

Clark said her entire experience at the school has been stimulating.

“It’s been exciting to be out in speaker series where speakers from all walks of life and interests have addressed us,” she said, listing such names as Clinton, James Baker, Bob Woodruff, just to name a few.
