Students Attend Diversity Conference

A group of Clinton School students participated in a two-day Diversity and Inclusion Institute conducted by Just Communities of Arkansas earlier this month.

Offered to students, faculty and staff from all of Central Arkansas’s colleges and universities, the institute addressed the challenge of preparing young adults to become socially responsible and productive citizens in an increasingly pluralistic society.

The goal of the institute is to create an opportunity for participants to learn to value diversity, recognize bias and understand its costs, understand the role of privilege in America, and to ultimately become agents of change in promoting inclusion both on their campus and in their larger sphere of influence.
