Students Attending EAST Conference

Clinton School students Judy Watts, Andy Lewis, Spencer Lucker and Shamim Okolloh are leading a breakout session at the EAST Conference on Wednesday, March 2, at the Hot Springs Convention Center.

The two primary goals of the session are to introduce the Clinton School to attendees and discuss how service can be integrated into their lives as a life-long pursuit.

The EAST Initiative is an education nonprofit which facilitates the use of technology by K-12 students as a tool to do service projects for community entities to build and enhance their investment in learning, citizenship within their community, and personal self-confidence.

Nearly 1,500 students from across the country gather to share their work and accomplishments at the EAST Conference. EAST also hosts over 50 breakout sessions. These sessions are an opportunity to have discussions and share information with the students.

Sarah Argue, a Clinton School alum and current director of development for EAST, is helping organize the panel.
