Posted by ERIC WILSON – Vincent Insalaco presented his movie “War Eagle, Arkansas” along with writer Graham Gordy at the Clinton School in partnership with the Little Rock Film Festival on Sunday. This film has been racking up awards since its release and after seeing it for the first time, I can attest to the power of this character-driven drama. Prior to “War Eagle, Arkansas,” students and guests had the opportunity to watch “Sprawling from Grace, Driven to Madness.” Producer and director Dave Edwards (pictured above) was in town to discuss the problems with American suburban sprawl. The documentary does a great job encapsulating our dependency on the automobile. To learn more, click here.
And if that wasn’t enough, we also got a sneak preview of the Renaud Brothers’ newest project, “Warrior Champions: From Baghdad to Beijing.” Craig Renaud was on hand to talk about how they followed handicapped Iraq veterans as they train and compete in the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. You can watch it here. I promise you that it won’t be a waste of time.
