Swisher Joins EAST Initiative as Project Coordinator

Recent University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service graduate, Sara Swisher, has joined EAST Initiative as a Project Coordinator. Swisher manages the organization’s special projects and community partners, which cover Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania.

EAST, education accelerated by service and technology, helps transform schools and communities by empowering students with technology, encouraging critical thinking and creative problem solving, and engaging students in positive, real-world experiences.

Swisher previously worked with EAST during her Clinton School Capstone project. She created an engagement plan for EAST’s stakeholder base of facilitators, students, community members, alumni, parents, and more. Her final report featured findings from informational interviews and best practices along with recommendations, a communications plan, and suggested events to establish an association for these groups to come together.

A native of Memphis, Tenn., Swisher graduated from Christian Brothers University and worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA member and Food Policy Coordinator at Memphis Tilth before enrolling at the Clinton School.
