In anticipation of tonight’s lecture on public education reform with former Washington D.C. Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee and Sacramento, Calif., Mayor Kevin Johnson, Clinton School students and faculty gathered Thursday for a “teach-in” forum about the national dialogue on education and education policy.
A teach-in is a general education forum on a complicated issue, usually involving current political affairs. The education policy teach-in was organized by Clinton School instructor of education policy Don Ernst.
Ernst planned the teach-in to explore key education policy issues and the role of leaders such as Rhee, given her recent stint as Superintendent of the D.C. Public Schools.
