Posted by DEAN SKIP RUTHERFORD – Two of our students, Sarah Argue and Tim Giattina, are in New Hampshire through the January 8th presidential primary. Sunday morning the motel where they and several other Arkansans were staying in Nashua was heavily damaged by fire. Tim, who had worked through the night, was sleeping at the time of the alarm, but escaped unharmed. Most of the Arkansans, including Sarah, were not at the motel.
It’s a good thing the fire didn’t happen in the middle of night when the motel was filled with guests. One Nashua firefighter was injured but thankfully not seriously. While some of the Arkansans’ rooms and their belongings were destroyed, Tim and Sarah only had smoke damage to their rooms. A restoration service is having everyone’s clothes back in 24 hours.
