We’ve got a busy schedule this week at the Clinton School with three public lectures before we host this weekend’s IMPACT National Student Conference.
– Today at noon, author David Margolick will discuss a book he is currently writing titled, “Elizabeth and Hazel,” about a now-infamous photo from the 1957 Little Rock Central High School desegregation crisis that portrays Elizabeth Eckford, a member of the Little Rock Nine, being pursued by a hostile crowd, including a screaming Hazel Massery.
– Tuesday at 6:00 p.m., Swiss Ambassador to the United States Urs Ziswiler will discuss U.S./Swiss relations.
– Thursday at 6:00 p.m., we’ll welcome former wrestler and actor turned Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura for a lecture about his new book, “American Conspiracies: Lies, Lies and More Dirty Lies that the Government Tells Us.”
– This weekend, Friday through Sunday, the Clinton School and UALR will welcome more than 500 college students and staff from across the country for the 2010 IMPACT National Student Conference.
