– Masingill will give a lecture about his organization’s efforts to promote economic development in the Mississippi River Delta region. A federal-state partnership, the Delta Regional Authority works to improve the lives of 10 million people living in 252 counties in parts of eight states that border the Mississippi River.
Donald R. Bobbitt, president of the University of Arkansas System

– The new president of the University of Arkansas System, Bobbitt will give a lecture titled, “Innovate or Perish: The Challenges Facing Higher Education in the Next Decade.” Bobbitt is the former provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of Texas at Arlington. He will begin as UA System president on November 1.
Ritu Sharma, co-founder of Women Thrive Worldwide

– A leading voice on international women’s issues and U.S. foreign policy, Sharma co-founded Women Thrive Worldwide in 1998 with Elise Fiber Smith. Under Sharma’s leadership, Women Thrive Worldwide has worked to put the concerns of impoverished women and girls at the center of U.S. international assistance.
“Who is Occupy Little Rock?” a panel discussion
