Tian Working as Manager of China Services Group for Grant Thornton LLP

Tian Tian (’09) is a Manager of the China Services Group at Grant Thornton LLP in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Tian helps Grant Thornton facilitate business opportunities in the Canada-China market. Grant Thornton has operations in 138 countries, including the United States, Europe, and China. She deals with all China-related clients and facilitates market entries to China and Canada.

“The Clinton School provides a unique experience in public service,” Tian said. “The program helped bridge the gap in my experience between the public and private sector. Through the program, I gained knowledge and solid experience in my area of interest, which helped open doors to many opportunities.”

Tian’s background in economic development includes serving as Director of the Ontario Chapter at the Canada China Business Council. She also worked for the investment attraction team at Invest Toronto, where they helped attract inbound foreign direct investment to the Greater Toronto Area. She is currently the Vice President for Membership and Strategic Alliance for the Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs.

As a Clinton School student, Tian competed her Capstone project with the Arkansas Coalition for Excellence, developing a mentorship training program for nonprofit members of the organization.

In addition to her Master of Public Service, she holds a Master of Business Administration from UA Little Rock and a Master of Science in Business Economics from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
