VIDEO: UA Group Promotes Women’s Empowerment in Ghana

This summer, students and faculty from the University of Arkansas’ Walton College of Business, Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences and Clinton School of Public Service have joined together to support women entrepreneurs in the African nation of Ghana by partnering with Vital Voices, a non-profit organization co-founded by Hillary Clinton and dedicated to the empowerment of women leaders around the world.

With generous funding through the McLarty Global Engagement Fellowship, the Walton, Fulbright and Clinton team helped expand women-led small businesses and enhance organizational leadership skills. Three Clinton School students – Burt Hicks, Katie Longino, Yana-Janell Scott and Gina Lopez – are participating in Ghana with the group completing their international public service projects.
