They concluded their internship today at the Clinton School where Dean Skip Rutherford informed them about the Master in Public Service degree program and our students’ work in the field. Dr. Drew Kumpuris, member of the Clinton School faculty and Washington and Lee graduate, was also on hand to discuss healthcare reform.
Posted by ERIC WILSON – Washington and Lee University is home to the Shepherd Program for the Interdisciplinary Study of Poverty and Human Capability. With a focus on poverty, this program shares the Clinton School’s mission in integrating academic study and service. As part of their internship, the undergraduates spent some time in Phillips County, Arkansas, an area of the Delta Region that Clinton School students have experience working in.
