Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation President Here This Week

Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – The Clinton School’s Center on Community Philanthropy this week welcomes Dr. Sherece West, president of the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, to its “Scholars in Residence” program.

Dr. West will spend the week at the Clinton School studying, researching and writing about issues related to community philanthropy. She will also spend time visiting with Clinton School students and faculty about her research and the work of the Rockefeller Foundation.

Dr. West is nationally known for her leadership in the areas of community development, public policy and most recently, disaster recovery. Her career path began at the Social Security Administration and wound its way through the Maryland Municipal League, the Washington D.C. Department of Public Health, the Community Service Society of New York City, the Ford Foundation and the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
