Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – The five Clinton School students who participated in today’s panel on “The Youth Vote” in the 2008 election did a wonderful job of researching and breaking down the young electorate expected to turn out in record numbers for tomorrow’s election.
Sarah Clark of Little Rock discussed young women voters; Nicholas Hall of Ohio addressed the role of technology in the campaign; Sanford Johnson of Mississippi discussed the African American youth vote; and Russ Swearingen of Rogers, Ark., discussed young, independent voters. Moderated by Ashley Davis of Colorado, the panel was lively and informative with several local television stations turning out to get the students’ take on what we’ll see in tomorrow’s historic election.
The panel video will be posted on our speaker series Web site www.clintonschoolspeakers.com; and Clark, Hall, Swearingen and Davis will appear tomorrow night live on KTHV Channel 11’s local election night coverage.
