Clinton School grad Scott Curran passes on an article about a unique Little Rock dog rescue organization that finds homes for abandoned dogs in New York City and other East Coast location where demand for rescues is high.
Curran, who does public policy work for the Clinton Foundation, worked with All About Labs to help find a new home for two puppies abandoned in Little Rock. Below is an excerpt about his experience with the organization. Click here for the full article.
Scott Curran of Chicago has experience as a “foster parent” for a couple of pups.
“We got a call from a friend who found two puppies outside a gas station in Rose Bud,” Curran said.
At the time he and his wife were living in the Heights and agreed to help find the puppies new homes.Through a mass e-mail at work, Curran learned about All About Labs.
He was impressed with Hartsell’s organization.
“They said yes when everybody else said no,” he explained.
Curran said other organizations responded positively at first, but when it came time to take action, they didn’t come through due mostly to space restraints.
Curran pointed out that All About Labs faces the same problems as every other organization. They lack space, volunteers and money.
“But they do so much with so little,” Curran said. “They really go that extra step to do the right thing and make sure animals end up in homes that will care for them.”
