Posted by student JAMES MITCHELL- Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama square off in Austin, Texas tonight. The two contenders for the Democratic presidential nomination are participating in a debate at the University of Texas at 7pm CST. The debate, hosted by CNN, Univision, and the Texas Democratic Party, promises to be a showdown as many political pundits are calling tonight’s challenge “Hillary’s last stand.” Senator Clinton must do well if she is to stop Senator Obama’s surging momentum. Obama is on a roll having won ten consecutive state victories and is on the verge of pulling away from Clinton in the delegate race. Tonight Mrs. Clinton’s back is against the wall. The question being asked today by pundits in Austin- can her debate performance tonight turn back the Obama tide?
