Dear Clinton is a collection of letters to President Bill Clinton from our students, in partnership with Dear World founder Robert X. Fogarty.
Dear President Clinton,
In so many tremendous capacities, you have touched our world and inspired others to do the same. This book represents your profound impact on students from the university of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service. As you know, these dynamic students have chosen to dedicate their lives building bridges to critical need areas such as championing human rights, community development, social equity, and care for our environment.
The passion and purpose of students at the Clinton School of Public Service is clear. Promoting her message “Create Social Equity: Arkansas Mississippi Louisiana,” Andrea Price expresses that a zip code should not be a determinate for health care, nor should a school zone determine the likelihood of a prison sentence. For John Delurey, writing his message “Renewable Energy,” the Clinton School has sent him on a global journey from the Arkansas Public Policy Panel and conversations with vice President gore to Tanzania as a Boren Fellow and the Tonga Energy Road map agency, all for his mission to support a renewable energy future. And, choosing “Enable HER personal agency” for her message, Aliyah Sarkar encapsulates the influence of the Clinton School: “Thank you for building a school that has enabled me to build upon my dreams and taught me how to be HER best advocate.”
When there are no words, or words alone are not enough, hopefully we can share our deepest, most poignant meaning through photos and images. That is our hope for this book, to have it give you pause to reflect on your impact, celebrate your enduring work, and help focus your vision for the next challenges you take on.
Sincerely,
Robert X. Fogarty
Founder, Dear World
