Movember: Raising Money and Awareness for Men’s Health

A team of Clinton School students has teamed up to participate in “Movember,” an annual movement to raise money and awareness for men’s health and the fight against prostate cancer.

The 16-member Clinton School team, which includes students, alumni and friends, has raised more than $1,200 and is hoping to surpass the $1,300 the group raised last year.

Seven of the team members are growing moustaches to raise awareness for their efforts. There are four female members of the team, known as “Mo-sistas,” who are supporting the effort. Click here for information on how to support the Clinton School Movember team.

Those participating include:

Ryan Adams

David Monteith (alumnus)

ABOUT MOVEMBER
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in the U.S. and around the world. These men raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. Teams are registered at www.movember.com.

The funds raised in the U.S. support prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. The funds raised are directed to programs run directly by Movember and its health partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Together, the three channels work together to ensure that Movember funds are supporting a broad range of innovative, world-class programs in line with our strategic goals in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship and research.
