One of Arkansas’s most generous and dedicated citizens, Charles B. “Charlie” Whiteside III, is thankfully on the mend after heart bypass yesterday. Charlie and I serve together on both the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Board and the Lyon College Board.

The new facilities at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute on top of Petit Jean Mountain (about an hour from Little Rock) received rave reviews from those attending last week’s meeting of the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees.
