Posted by DEAN SKIP RUTHERFORD – Clinton School student Nicholas Hall joined Virgil Miller of Metropolitan Bank and me Monday to raise funds for NPR programming on KUAR/KLRE in Central Arkansas.
Our goal for the morning session was $7,000 which–thanks to the support of many– we proudly and gratefully exceeded, and I apprecate Nique’s help. Cllinton School alumnus Gary Wheeler is an active KUAR/KLRE board member and Clinton School alumnus Malcolm Glover is on the station’s staff. We’ve also had Kevin Klose, NPR’s chief executive officer and Diane Rehm, who hosts a highly popular NPR show, speak at the Clinton School as part of our public program series.
