Student Helps Promote Haiti Benefit

Clinton School student Ivan Noisette, whose family is from Haiti, took part today in the announcement of a local benefit concert for the earthquake relief efforts there. Noisette has helped form “Hope for Haiti,” an organization of Little Rock-area students and aid groups working to raise awareness and funds for the quake-torn country.

Hosted by Governor and Mrs. Mike Beebe, the concert will be Feb. 5 from 5 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. and feature Arkansas musicians and visual artists, including popular local bands The Rockets, The GroanUps, Tragically White, Crisis! and First Impressions.

Tickets for the event are $25 dollars with proceeds going to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. For more information, visit www.arkansans4haitirelief.com.

Event organizers include the City of Little Rock, the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Clinton Foundation.
