The good news just keeps coming on the job front. Clinton School student Sara Himelfarb (’09) will be the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction at a new charter school serving the Little Rock community, set to open in 2009. The Little Rock Preparatory Academy (www.littlerockprep.org) was founded through a Building Excellent Schools Fellowship and sets high academic and behavioral expectations for all students.

We recently learned that Clinton School student Lindsey Clark of Marion, Ohio, has will be hired as a research assistant for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center to Prevent Childhood Obesity and the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement. She’ll working on both research and policy formulation regarding childhood obesity. Congrats Lindsey!

Clinton School alumnus Dr. Gary Wheeler has joined the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Board of Directors and we had the opportunity to visit after this morning’s meeting. In addition to his role as a practicing physician, Gary is also very involved in major health policy issues. For the children of Arkansas and America, both are good things because Gary is a real pro.
