We have received some additional reports on Clinton School grads who have recently landed new jobs:

– Casey Carder (’09) will be the new deputy director of Arkansas Tobacco Control, an agency that works with the Food and Drug Administration to enforce federal mandates related to licensing and selling tobacco.

Clinton School graduate Julie West (’10), owner of an international design and import business that promotes the work of women artisans in Nepal, was recently featured in Hand/Eye, a magazine about people who work with artisans in developing countries.

John Memmer (’10) has been hired as a quality analyst for Veterans Evaluation Services, a private contractor that works with the VA to provide pension and compensation exams for veterans.

Recent Clinton School graduate Sophia Said has won a second place award at the UALR Graduate Research Expo for her research on a microfinance program for women entrepreneurs in Pakistan.

As part of the recent graduation, David Watterson, a member of the Class of 2011, wrote a Clinton School alma mater which will now be part of the school’s history and heritage.

As a special surprise at commencement Saturday, new Clinton School graduate David Watterson (’11), an accomplished musician, wrote and performed the Clinton School Alma Mater, “We Will Build the Bridge.”

Clinton School graduate Hunter Riley (’09) will participate in a panel discussion as part of the Social Enterprise Conference hosted by the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Clinton School graduate Chad Williamson (’10) sends along an article about past Clinton School speaker Dhani Jones, a former star NFL linebacker turned Travel Channel Host and philanthropist.

Clinton School grad and KUAR public radio anchor Malcolm Glover, whose commentary on Egypt is posted below, has won an award for his reporting on female veterans. Glover earned a Gracie Award, given by the Alliance for Women in the Media, for his story on female veterans seeking support from the VA.
