After our students got the chance to meet CNN’s Larry King, he and President Clinton briefly discussed the Clinton School and the work of the students during last night’s “Larry King Live,” which was taped at the Clinton Presidential Center.

Several Clinton School students were afforded a special treat this afternoon when they got the chance to meet Larry King of CNN’s “Larry King Live.” King visited with the Clinton School students for a few minutes before leaving to prepare for an interview with former President Clinton. The live interview will take place tonight at the Clinton Presidential Center.

Fourteen Clinton School students will travel to the University of Texas in Austin this weekend to participate in the Clinton Global Initiative University Conference there.

Clinton School students Alejandro Aviles, Kohl Fallin and Chad Williamson scored a major success this week with their Practicum project when U.S. Senator Mark Pryor used some of their work in a speech on the Senate floor.

Last Friday 10 Clinton School students — Ashley Davis, Lindsey Barnett, Dimas Espinola, Nique Hall, Joanna Klak, John Memmer, Viviane Rossi, Chad Williamson, Olivia Wilmot, and myself — participated in an Adult CPR/First Aid class put on by the American Red Cross.

The Clinton School is now offering its students and alumni a series of professional workshops designed to enhance their preparation for careers in public service. Today marked the first in this series and focused on press release writing and media relations.

Congratulations are in order for Clinton School student Josh Stokes who had his University of Alabama hockey jersey retired last week. Stokes, a 2008 graduate of Alabama was one of the founders of the university’s first hockey team.

We just learned that Clinton School student Hunter Riley of North Little Rock was recently hired by the Pat Tillman Foundation in Arizona. Riley has been working with the foundation this semester to help evaluate its Leadership Through Action program for his Clinton School Capstone project.

First-year Clinton School student Sarah Clark recently became the first to enter our new joint Master of Business Administration degree program with the University of Arkansas Walton College of Business. Because the Walton College is in Fayetteville, Sarah will be taking a number of her classes by video through online technology. As you can see below, today was her first day “in class” at the Walton College.
