Faisal Umar, a Clinton School student and Fulbright scholar from Indonesia, partnered with the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department to complete a study of how San Antonio-area residents use and benefit from a local park system.

Stokes Finishes HEARTS Work

The attention could lead to expansion of the HEARTS program to other cities, Stokes said. “I would like to bring this program to Arkansas so that the children of my home state can benefit from this necessary program and that all preventable sudden cardiac death will be a thing of the past,” Stokes said.

On April 6, the Not In Our Town project will launch NIOT.org, a social networking site for people fighting hate and working to create safe, inclusive communities and schools where everyone is respected. NIOT.org will connect people everywhere to network and share local stories of success and inspire others to fight hate in their communities, Corodimas says.

As noted below, a team of Clinton School students presented recommendations Tuesday to a state coalition about ways to fight recidivism in Arkansas. The students told the Arkansas Re-Entry Coalition that a holisitic approach is needed to coordinated services for ex-offenders.
