Second-year student Mackenzie Bolt (North Little Rock, Ark.) has been awarded the Amanda Harris Memorial Scholarship.

Second-year student Lydia Grate has been announced as the recipient of the Little Rock Nine Foundation scholarship at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service.

For the 15th consecutive year, first-year students enrolled in the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service’s Master of Public Service degree program have compiled a list of books they recommend others to read. The list is created in partnership with WordsWorth Books, an independent bookstore in Little Rock and a long-time Clinton School community partner.

Nine teams of first-year students from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service will complete public service projects in partnership with public agencies, community initiatives, academic ventures, and nonprofit organizations across Arkansas during the 2020-21 academic year.

Michael Webb spent much of his summer working remotely with Women Political Leaders (WPL), a Brussels, Belgium-based organization that aims to increase the quantity and the influence of women in political leadership positions around the world.

J. Dillon Pitts recently completed his International Public Service Project with Vital Voices Global Partnership, an organization based in Washington, D.C., that searches the world for women leaders with daring visions for change and helps make those visions a reality.

Cody McKinney, a Clinton School student pursuing a concurrent law degree through the UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, recently completed an internship with Human Rights Initiative of North Texas (HRI) as part of his International Public Service Project.

Abraham Kahasay is working with the Arkansas Peace and Justice Memorial Movement, conducting research to help the Little Rock-based organization implement a Community Remembrance Project across Arkansas. The work is part of Kahasay’s International Public Service Project.

Kam Gomez is working as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the Central Arkansas Library System, researching best practices to help in launching a free co-working space that promotes workforce development and entrepreneurship.
